爾份係出自聯合國嘅正式文件。1987年9月17號之前，聯合國政策規定聯合國唔尋求版權，而將絕大部份文件發佈到公有領域，以「盡可能廣布聯合國文件精神」。另外，聯合國行政指引ST/AI/189/Add.9/Rev.1附錄當中無包含嘅聯合國出版物當中，喺1987年之前喺美國出版嘅出版物屬於公有領域，因為聯合國當時無主張擁有版權；喺1978年到1987年9月之間喺美國出版嘅出版物屬於公有領域，因為當時聯合國當時無主張擁有版權，事後亦都無喺出版後5年之內向美國版權辦公室申報版權。

爾份文件必須滿足兩項條件先喺美國屬於公有領域：

  1. 1987年9月17號或之前由聯合國出版；
  2. 並非出自聯合國行政指引ST/AI/189/Add.9/Rev.1附錄有包含嘅文件。
喺唔對美國出版物實施較短期限法則，但係又將聯合國出版物視為本國出版物嘅國家或地區，爾份文件可能重受版權法限制。
注意： 閣下必須提供證據以證明爾份文件係聯合國嘅正式文件，並且係1987年9月17號之前喺美國出版徂。
