LGBT
LGBT係基婆（Lesbian）、基佬（Gay）、雙性向（Bisexual）同跨性別嘅人（Transgender）嘅英文第一個字母組合埋嘅字。1990年代，「LGBT」呢個詞語開始逐漸普及[1]。[1][2]。另外，亦都有喺詞語最後加字母「Q」，代表酷兒（Queer）或者對佢性別認同感到疑惑嘅人（Questioning），形成咗「LGBTQ」。LGBT依家已獲得咗好多英文國家多數LGBT族群同LGBT媒體嘅認同，成為一種非常主流嘅用法[3][4]。
但係，「LGBT」嘅用法都有爭議[5]。部分雙性人（intersex）認為自己都屬於LGBT族群入面，所以支持使用「LGBTI」[6][7]。亦有個別族群唔覺得自己同LGBT有關聯[8]。[8][9][10]有人就認為「LGBT」呢個用語太過政治正確，企圖將多元性別族群劃入灰色地帶，意味住包含主流性別族群嘅問題同優先權都有咗平等嘅考量[10][11]。
