有機食物

有機食物(粵拼:jau5 gei1 je5 sik6,Organic food)係通過符合有機農業標準嘅方法嚟生產嘅食物。世界各地對於有機嘢食嘅標準都唔同,但有機農業嘅特點係循環利用資源、促進生態平衡同保護生物多樣性。而有機嘢食通常唔會用輻照、工業溶劑或者合成嘅食品添加劑進行加工[1]。
喺廿一世紀,歐盟、美國、加拿大、墨西哥、日本同埋好多第啲國家都要求生產者攞到特殊認證先可以將佢哋啲嘢食作為有機嘢食嚟賣畀人。

Organic foods are not necessarily pesticide-free. Organic foods are produced using only certain pesticides with specific ingredients. Organic pesticides tend to have substances like soaps, lime sulfur and hydrogen peroxide as ingredients. Not all natural subshtances are allowed in organic agriculture; some chemicals like arsenic, strychnine, and tobacco dust (nicotine sulfate) are prohibited.
