短語（phrase）係指一拃一齊做一嚿文法單位嘅字。
例如喺廣東話入邊，「三個盒」或者「細細個嘅麵包」或者「一隻開心嘅松鼠」呢啲噉嘅短語由好幾隻字組成，但可以當係單一名詞噉嚟用（名詞短語）[1]－
- 「檯上面有三個盒。」
- 「我食緊個細細個嘅麵包。」
- 「一隻開心嘅松鼠喺度瞌眼瞓。」[2]
