SIMBAD

SIMBAD係英文the Set of Identifications, Measurements, and Bibliography for Astronomical Data嘅簡寫，係關於太陽系以外天體嘅天文資料庫。由法國嘅Centre de Données astronomiques de Strasbourg（CDS）負責管理。

SIMBAD係兩個名錄合成，Catalog of Stellar Identifications（CSI）同埋Bibliographic Star Index，1979年前，兩個都係Meudon Computer Centre負責。之後夾多啲其他資料同學術文獻來源。1981年，第一個網上系統，第二版（Version 2）造好。而1990年第三版（Version 3），係C程式語言寫嘅，喺UNIX上便行，移到去Strasbourg Observatory。2006年秋，第四版（Version 4）改用PostgreSQL做資料庫，而相關軟件，就用Java程式語言寫。

2011年10月11號為止，SIMBAD有5,446,342個天體，按名計有15,224,536。參考傳記（Bibliographical references）有257,763，傳記（bibliographic citations）引文有8,313,370。

太陽系有粒小行星叫4692 SIMBAD（1983 VM₇），就係用咗佢個名。
