This site notice is displayed above the page title for all users (except anonymous users if Mediawiki:Anonnotice is not empty). If the site notice is empty, the global site notice is displayed instead if it is not empty. 'Empty' means inexistant, no content, or only containing the character '-'.

Registered users can hide the site notice by clicking "[dismiss]". To show the site notice again for those users, increment the number in MediaWiki:Sitenotice id (explanation).

Hello, good news! Thanks to FreedomFighterSparrow and Brion, unregistered users can now hide the sitenotice again. Previously, they were forced to see it continuously.
