Actually "Can" might be a closer rendering of Cantonese 陳 [t͡sɐn] in Hungarian? How do you intend to use a Commons-hosted recording of 陳港生 - Cantonese Wikipedia currently links to Forvo for pronunciations of phrases...! 翹仔 (傾偈) 2020年8月17號 (一) 01:04 (UTC)回覆

@Deryck Chan there are templates, like on the English Wikipedia, where you can link the file from Commons and play it locally. See for example the lead of article en:Seoul, with the template that says "listen". A file uploaded to Commons can be used in every Wikipedia. Forvo was only given as an example. It would be better if I could link to an original file in Commons, but that needs a native speaker to record saying the name and upload the file in Commons. I would like a native speaker to record his/her own version and upload it to Commons. It only needs a mobile phone, converting the file into one of these formats: c:Commons:File_types#Sound, or a free software like Audacity on PC. I don't speak Cantonese, my pronunciation would be way off, otherwise I would have done this myself :) There is a category with such files at c:Category:Cantonese pronunciation. I think this is better than linking to Forvo, in general in huwiki we have a rule that outside links should not be in the main text of an article, they can only be in the External links section.
